Hey Everyone,

Update on shipping.

VATS/EORI have been obtained. Here is the most recent report.  

Kids on Bikes US – Cards and Dice  
Container Docks in LA 8/12   ETA arrival to GA is 8/27, 

Kids on Bikes Canada:
Deluxe, standard andpeechee- shipped 8/12
Dice, Cards- Shipped 8/10
ETA Arrival – ~1 week

Kids on Bikes EU:
Deluxe, standard andpeechee- shipping 8/17
Dice, Cards- Shipping 8/17
ETA Arrival – ~1-2 weeks

Kids on Bikes AU:
Deluxe, standard andpeechee- Sent to Freight Fowarder 8/12
Dice, Cards- Shipped 8/10
ETA Arrival – ~2-3 weeks

Backers Shipment information has been sent to each warehouse. So they should be processed upon arrival. 

Thank you to everyone who has reached out in RE: GenCon. We're a small company, and it's very expensive to attend the convention. It was a difficult choice, but attending is important. Kickstarter always has its risks, but we appreciate your support

I'll post an update again once items start shipping. For our US warehouse, they're usually 24-48 hours.   

Bodhana Group
On a side note, we're making a sizable contribution to the Bodhana Group, a 501 c3 charity organization advocating the use of TTRPGs for directed therapeutic and clinical practice that can benefit personal growth as well as enhance social and educational services to individuals and families.

In particular, they work a lot with kids along the Autism spectrum. You can learn more about them at www.bodhanagroup.org

Hey Kids!

I know you've all been waiting for an update on Shipping, and we have one for you!

Cards/Dice

Happy to say that we've been informed that the Cards/Dice are leaving the plant and are being AIRSHIPPED to our US Warehouse. This USUALLY only takes 3-5 days - so we're really REALLY hoping to start fulfilling domestic orders that include cards/dice starting next week (you'll see why we're being so vague next paragraph).

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

I know that our non-US backers have been the most patient out of everyone. THANK YOU! We are indeed having issues using 3rd party shipping companies rather than just our single warehouse going out to all over the world, while in hindsight it really helped reduce the cost of shipping to our non-US backers. It is turning out to be logistically a very challenging issue for us. The primary problem is that we don't have as much visibility as we do when it's in our own warehouse in the US.

Needless to say - we were discouraged to learn that when we asked about the status of the international orders. We learned that they were HOLDING our stock to wait for additional products/information before trucking/flying them in.

At this point, they're still at the freight forwarding centers. For Canada, they are literally almost over the border, for AU they're in the forwarding center in California... we're still waiting on confirmation from UK (apparently there is a VATS issue which needs to be cleared up), but they're in Florida at the moment. 

WHAT WE ARE DOING: We've asked for additional information on WHY these products are being held, and once we know the issues and how to push them through (such as the VATS with UK) - we'll work diligently to solve them. Once we have concrete information of when they've ARRIVED (not when they 'could' arrive), we'll send an update on when you should expect them. Since the cards/dice are so close - we are considering waiting until they can join their bookling brothers and sisters before hopping the border as well. 

It's extremely frustrating for us to have to tell you something, using the best information we have - and then not have it be true in addition to the delays. Just know we are doing everything we can to get your products out of the US and to your homes as quickly as we possibly can.

FREE RPG DAY

In the meantime, we're happy to tell you that the FREE RPG Day version of Kids on Bikes is now available to everyone! You can grab a digital copy on the Hunters Entertainment Website or via DTRPG (it should have been emailed out).

GENCON

If you're at GenCon, we'd LOVE to see you! Stop by at Booth 2209, so we can love on you! We'll even be having Doug Levadowski and Jonathan Gilmour available for signings! If they come in time, we may even have some cards/dice available for backers to pickup, and a limited quantity of books for the general public. It appears our adventure in publishing never ends! We'll defeat those monsters of logistics and restore order to the small town of Kids on Bikes soon!

If you included a "Powered Player" Deck or a "Kids on Bikes - Dice Set" in your order (in the add-on section of backerkit):

Then your order has not shipped yet.

Please read the last update to get a status on when those should be sent out.

Hey Kids!

So a quick update on all things Shipping!

DOMESTIC (US) WITH ONLY BOOKS:

We've shipped out all the orders that are in our database.

Please email us at [email protected] if you do not (Please try to avoid messaging on Kickstarter, as it then has to be forwarded to this email address anyway, and the poor person who's initials happen to be JG at the end of the KS email already has a lot on their plate). We'll do our best to track down where/how/when things went wrong and resolve it the best we can.

Again: if you ONLY had either a deluxe, standard, or peechee folder in your order. It should have shipped. But if you had dice/cards in your order. We're still waiting on those items.

INTERNATIONAL WITH ONLY BOOKS:

We've earmarked everything we need in our main warehouse in GA to be picked up and sent to all the other locations we're partnering with (EU/UK - Kixto, CA - Universal, AU/NZ - VR Distribution.

Once they've arrived, they should start going out shortly. 

Canada - Probably in the next 2 weeks

United Kingdom and Europe - 3 Weeks

Australia/Rest of the World - 4 weeks

INTERNATIONAL/DOMESTIC WITH CARDS/DICE:

We've seen the dice! Take a look yourselves!

The Dice/Cards are currently estimated to arrive stateside on August 5th, to which we'll immediately start shipping out all the domestic orders, and preparing the international orders to send to our partner warehouses. We'll have more info then.

GenCon

Join us for Demo's and Events at GenCon, and maybe even a SPECIAL SURPRISE at the Renegade Event Booth which will be in Exhibit Hall H (the event space), we're even running a Midnight Sleepover Game of Kids on Bikes!

Nerds on Earth

We're also very proud that Nerds on Earth did a big breakdown of Kids On Bikes, and has posted it for everyone to enjoy! If people ask "Whats Kids on Bikes", that's a great link to send!

Reflections

In hindsight, we really should have set this project for a 'Delivery in August', but we were very optimistic - and at the time - we didn't know we'd be merging production elements with Renegade Games. So we've learned a lot (hooray learning!), we'll absolutely make sure to budget more contingency in future campaigns.

At the end of the day though, we're really very proud of what we've put together. We hope you enjoy it (when and how it comes to you).
