Shipping Update - THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL!

Hey Kids!

So you may have gotten an email from Backer-Kit not too long ago asking to verify your address. 

That means, we're VERY close to shipping!

What does that mean 'Very Close?'

Here is the breakdown:

-Physical Books/Peechee should be arriving at our fulfilling warehouse in Georgia in the next 2-3 days (the pictures of the crates above are in a separate warehouse, that doesn't do Direct to Consumer fulfillment). 

-Cards/Dice are still printing, we are airfreighting them from China to Georgia (VERY Expensive by the way), but we don't expect them to finish until 7/18, which gives them an arrival at GA around 7/20.

SO here are our choices:

- We can send out to backers who ONLY ordered books within the next 5-10 days.

- We can wait until cards/dice arrive 7/20 and start shipping out then.

Originally I didn't feel it was fair to give the people who ordered LESS their stuff early, versus our backers who ordered more. But if this is what people would like, then we'll absolutely abide by it.

FREE RPG DAY Content

As you may have heard, Kids on Bikes was featured on FREE RPG DAY with a few pre-made characters included in the Ashcan rules of the game. While the Ashcan Rules have been out for a few months now (they were even featured on the KS page originally), we want to make sure YOU, our BACKERS also get a copy. Even if it is in PDF format.

We have a contractual obligation to withhold distributing FREE RPG DAY content until a date in Early July, we're still confirming that date. But once that has passed, we'll be sending out a DTRPG copy of it to everyone who backed the project as well.

Hey Kids!

Wanted to let you all know that the COMPRESSED and BOOKMARKED editions of both the Deluxe and Standard edition of the book will be hitting your inboxes very soon!

Please keep an eye out for "One Book Shelf" or DTRPG.com in your emails, you'll need to make an account to download it if you haven't already. 

DTRPG.com is a great resource/library to keep all your Digital RPGs handy. Of course, if you choose not to use DTRPG, they'll still be available on Backerkit in your "Downloadable Content" section as well.

Also, you can start getting items like Character Sheets, the Playbook, and other KoB downloads at www.huntersbooks.com in our 'download' section!

Hey Everyone! 

Update time! 

We're getting OH SO CLOSE to delivering this sweet sweet book of strange adventures in small towns to you. So let us get started! 

Standard, Deluxe, and Peechee Folders 

We JUST got our fist look at the books from the printers. THEY LOOK AMAZING! Right now the container with the rest of the copies are being boated over to our warehouse, we're told they should arrive sometime early June (barring any issues with customs of course).

IT'S-A REAL BOOK FOLKS!

Dice/Cards 

We are tooling up dice/card sets, the art has been done for a while – but we decided to go with Renegade's Card/Dice printer as they're quality is superior to who we had on the table for the same price. Those won't be shipping until later this month sadly, which gives us a delivery for mid-July for those items. Sadly, we can't ship everything out until they all arrive at the warehouse stateside sadly.

We are working with our printer, however, to get this ship time reduced - and get them sent out ASAP.

Well, it's official - Kids on Bikes is OFF TO THE PRINTERS!

Hey Backers! We apologize for the delay, it's been a busy couple of months. But never the less, this update is coming a lot later than what we expected. 

As far as production goes, If you haven't heard, we recently went into a co-publishing agreement with Renegade Games - and that changed how we normally deliver books to the printers. We've had to merge teams, and there's been a few speed bumps in becoming a cohesive organism. 

That being said, I can say without a doubt that the partnership has increased the quality of what we've been able to do with Kids on Bikes A LOT.

Just to name a few:

Better Packaging
Better Card Quality
Better Con Participation

Real quick before we jump too deep into it,

DICE GRAPHICS:

The Dice Graphics are finally here!

 GAMA TRADE SHOW:

We had an AWESOME time at GAMA (Game Artist Manufacturers Association), last week - and had a chance to play some Kids On Bikes with Retailers!

PDF STATUS:

So as of this update, we haven't uploaded the PDF to backerkit or DTRPG yet. It's next on the 'to do list', we just wanted to make sure that the 'print ready files' are the ones you get. So now they're print ready, we'll get them uploaded ASAP!

(You should get a notification from backerkit, when you have a digital download available via email).

BOOK DELIVERY:

After getting things settled with Renegade, we still thought we were going to make the KS estimated delivery. However, we did miss the boat for Chinese New Year (as per last update), so we lost a month there as well. 

All in all, It's looking like we'll be able to deliver the project now closer to Late May/Early June. Printing of the book is on time, but the dice/cards are going to take a little longer. 

Really, it comes down to the fact want them all to come onto the boat together. 

In the meantime, we'll get those PDF's up ASAP!

Soon, you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey. Including your PDF copy of the Core Book! 

NOTE: Modules are not ready yet, and will be included later.

It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.  

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!  

After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts. If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://kids-on-bikes-rpg.backerkit.com.

Remember those Character Folios we promised you as a stretch goal that was suppose to be a parody of the classic "PEE CHEE" folders.

Now's a great time to add your add-ons, but DONT WORRY. We won't be locking down orders or verifying addresses until closer to April.

UPDATE ON DELIVERY

Unfortunately, due to some last minute editing, we missed our window to avoid printing during CHINESE NEW YEAR (in which every factory shuts down for the entire month of February.  

As a result, our printer has informed us that with file delivery being this week, we won't be actually receiving books until the END of April, which means delivery will likely be closer to MID MAY. We apologize, as this is a few months later than what we promised. However, we felt these edits were very necessary and only want to make sure we're giving you the best product possible.
