Another Stretch Goal Added - More to Come!

Hello gang, we've just added on our latest Stretch Goal for the Campaign.  Reaching $45k will now unlock an Add-on for the game, our POWER PLAYER DECK!  This handy add-on will let you more easily randomize the special Powered Character in your games - keeping with our design philosophy of keeping things simple in play.  Of course we'll be adding in some more Stretch Goals as well, just give us a little time to sort out what will come next.  This deck will have a price point of $15.

As always, thanks to everyone for your amazing support and sharing the project.  Lets keep it going and see how far down the trail we can go!

Hey Gang!

So it looks like you had a nice long weekend! Wow! We're almost at $60k! 

PAX Unplugged

We appreciate your patience, almost our entire development team was at PAX Unplugged over the weekend promoting Kids on Bikes and connecting with the fans!

There we got a TON of buzz including some love from James D'atamo from OneShot Podcast! We also met with tons of Industry folks from Mike Fehlauer, Mike Selinker, Jerry Holkins, and Pat Rothfuss - all had WONDERFUL things to say about Kids On Bikes!

NEW STRETCH GOALS! 

Yes, the moment you've all been waiting for! After much deliberation, we've come up with some PRETTY SWEET NEW GOALS for you all to stretch into. So without further ado... 

60k – ADD ON, Kids on Bikes Backpack! 

We thought 'what better way to carry all your KoB gear, than in a sweet Retro 16” inch pink backpack? This add-on will come at an additional cost of $20, and can be added either to your current pledge or after the campaign in the pledge manager (backerkit). 

61.5 Module 11 - Ben Walker

After BEGGING AND PLEADING with our printer to give us more pages, we found out we have room for a few more modules, so this one will be coming to you by Ben Walker, who is a writer and designer living in Delaware. He has had a hand in creating LARPS, tabletops and card games such as Curtain Call, Champions LARP, and The Underground. He is currently working on Cindr, a game of dating dragons without getting burned.

Who likes more cards? (I do! I do!), we're going to give you FIVE MORE cards in the power player deck add-on with this unlocked stretch goal! 

64.5 – Module 12 - Kira Magrann 

Kira Magrann, will be contributing her story Boxcar Boys , During the Great Depression in America, the summer of 1932, two hundred and fifty thousand teenage hoboes were roaming the rails. Some left home for romantic dreams of finding themselves, some were too poor and a burden to their families, but they all left in search of a better life. The boxcar boys and girls were all on the road to find the freedoms that might be out there somewhere in America. 

66.0 – Second Card Upgrade 

Five More Cards! Making that Power Player Deck even thicker! All thanks to YOU! 

67.5 – Module 13 - Nick Malinowski 

This module will feature a group of teens dare to explore a haunted house where terrible secrets of their past will come to light. A monster of shifting forms comes out of the dark, and there are horrible murders to solve. Unlike most iterations of Kids on Bikes, this module has a single player controlling the powered character. This person works closely with the GM as a guide to the other players in order to uncover the horrible secret of the house.

70.5 – Module 14 - Anton Kromoff

This module will be written by Anton Kromoff! We're still grabbing details of his module, but you'll hear more from us soon!

72 – Fourth Card Upgrade 

Gang, we can do anymore after this – this is it for cards. We just don't have anymore room... 

75 – Pee Chee Folder Add-Ons! 

You remember those sweet Pee Chee folders from the days of college ruled madness? Do you want some authenticity to your 'Strange Adventures in the 80s?' We got you covered!

We're even gonna put some sweet quick rules reference instead of metric conversion tables (ok, maybe we'll keep that too). This one will be a single fold, two pocket folder with custom art - and interior. 

It will be an ADD - ON that can be added to your pledge, or during the Pledge Manager at ready for it? FIVE BUCKS!

Graphics will be coming soon for all of these! We'll roll them out on the page as we get to them today.

You kids are on FIRE!

So we made our first 10 stretch goals - knowing that we'll likely get through them at some point in the campaign - You crushed them in a day

Then we made FOUR MORE stretch goals we hadn't planned on - You crushed them in a WEEK

We are halfway through this campaign, and you've beyond exceeded our expectations. But we're on it!

Jon, Doug, and the Hunters Books Team (chris and Ivan) are currently working on finding NEW STRETCH GOALS.

In the meantime, here are some projects we love!

Our very own Doug Levandowski is also featured in this anthology of RPGs about the greatest horror of all... Junior High! His game '7 Minutes in Hell" uses a really neat spin the bottom mechanism! Our awesome module writing friend Banana Chan also adds the LARP 'Everything Nice'! Go check it out now, it's like a RPG mix-tape of awesomeness! Check it out here:  

 Root: A Game of Woodland Might and Right - The art in this game is incredible, and the gameplay is a blast (Jon has a prototype copy and can vouch for it). With as great as VAST is, I can't wait to get my hands on the finished version of this one! 

The Visitor: Blackwood Grove

We'd like to take the time to share a super awesome-funtime project from our friend Mary Flanagan (Monarch) who made a board game about a bunch of KIDS ON BIKES dealing with a mysterious force field out in the middle of the Blackwood Grove!  

It's called VISITOR in Blackwood Grove, and its a delightful little game where play the VISITOR, the AGENT, or THE KID - Everyone has a motive/means to win, and the first to discover what CAN and CANNOT pass through the forcefield protecting the ship wins! Needless to say, we thought that was pretty perfect - we backed it earlier this year, but it should be coming out in December!

 Rip Ready, And Raring to Go!

Hey there gang, we wanted to check in with you and let you know about some of the great stuff we've now managed to line up thanks to all of your amazing support of the project.  As you well know from the details on the Pledge Levels the Deluxe Edition of the book was already going to be something a bit special, but now we have the chance to make it even more unique.  Having unlocked our two latest Stretch Goals that have a focus on the Deluxe Edition, we feel it is a good time to assess just what has changed to make it even better!

 You're reading that right, gang!  Thanks to passing by our $25k Stretch Goal we will now be able to do a variant cover on the Deluxe Edition of the book.  That means right from a first look you're going to be able to see the difference between the Standard Softcover and the Deluxe Hardcover.  We're still making final decisions on just what art will be featured on this variant cover, but we'll be sure to let you get a sneak peek as soon as we have finalized that decision.  What we can certainly say is that it will be great.  But wait, there's more!

 How cool is that?  Not only will we have a Module created by the ever talented Jim Zub, but now we'll be adding a comic at the beginning of the Deluxe Edition created by Jim just for Kids on Bikes!  Just to give you a small reminder, you might recognize Jim's work from titles like The Avengers (Marvel Comics), Glitterbomb (Image Comics), Conan-Red Sonja (Dark Horse Comics), and Legends of the Dark Knight - Dr. Quinn's Diagnosis (DC Comics).  We're really excited that we'll be able to feature even more of Jim's work for the Deluxe Edition to make it that much more special!

Down the Path

Of course we aren't done just yet, and we still have more Stretch Goals that we can get unlocked.  So gather up the crew, and we'll head on down the path together to see where this adventure is going to take us!

Our friends over at Danger Dice Gang got a chance to play a game, and boy was it a good time! Join GM Jim Zub (yes our very own Comic/Module writer), as he takes an ragamuffin crew of kids through a collaborative small town of their creating!

It's a great example of what you can expect in a game of Kids On Bikes!

Keep in mind, we've announced MORE stretch goals! Including MORE ART, and a FULL 8 PAGE COMIC to be included in the Deluxe Edition. So get out there and share!
